About the role
You will be responsible for routine inspection, testing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems across commercial, industrial and education sites, including fault finding, diagnostics and repairs to fire panels and associated equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Routine inspection, testing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems
- Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs to fire panels and associated equipment
- Testing detectors, interfaces, EWIS/occupant warning systems and field devices
- Completing scheduled servicing in accordance with AS 1851
- Identifying defects and providing clear recommendations for repairs
- Completing accurate electronic service reports
- Liaising professionally with clients, facility managers and our operations team
About you
- Previous experience as a Fire Alarm / Fire Panel Technician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with a range of fire indicator panels and detection systems
- Good knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
- Appropriate fire industry qualifications/licences
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger service team
