Outdoor Educator & Early Childhood Educators
Due to growth in occupancy, Gumboots Early Learning Werribee is seeking passionate and experienced part-time educators (up to 37.5 hours per week) to join our team now.
At Gumboots Early Learning, we believe children learn best when they are given the freedom to explore, investigate, create and connect with the world around them.

We are family owned and operated, and our brand-current, single-level, purpose-built centre has been thoughtfully designed with six learning studios, a stunning piazza and dining space with integrated kitchen, and incredible outdoor play and learning environments.
We Are Looking For
Outdoor Educator – A Role Like No Other
We are looking for a passionate Outdoor Educator to take ownership of our outdoor learning program and help create an workplace where children can get their hands dirty, explore nature, grow their own food and develop a lifelong connection with the outdoors.
This is an exciting chance for an educator who sees the outdoor environment as much more than a playground.
You will have the opportunity to create and run your own outdoor classroom, developing engaging experiences and projects that inspire curiosity, creativity, confidence and a love of learning.
Your outdoor classroom might include:
- Planning and leading gardening and planting experiences
- Growing vegetables, herbs, fruit and edible gardens with the children
- Teaching children about sustainability, composting, recycling and caring for Country
- Exploring insects, minibeasts, plants, weather, seasons and the natural environment
- Creating hands-on nature investigations and STEM experiences
- Bringing art, music, storytelling and imaginative play into the outdoors
- Designing and developing beautiful, inviting outdoor learning spaces
- Embracing all kinds of weather and helping children discover the joy of learning outdoors
- Developing gardening projects that children can nurture and watch grow over time
- Connecting the garden to cooking, nutrition and healthy eating experiences
- Encouraging children to observe, question and investigate the natural world
- Embedding sustainability and environmental responsibility into everyday learning
- Working alongside room educators to connect outdoor experiences with children's interests and learning programs
Most importantly, you will have the freedom and support to bring your own ideas to life.
We want someone who looks at a patch of garden and sees a science experiment, looks at a fallen leaf and sees a learning opportunity, and looks at muddy hands and sees children developing confidence, resilience and a genuine connection with the world around them.

Certificate III & Diploma Qualified Educators
We are also seeking passionate Certificate III and Diploma Qualified Educators who are committed to creating meaningful learning experiences and building strong relationships with children and families.

You Must
- Hold an approved ACECQA qualification or provide evidence that you are working towards one
- Hold a Certificate III or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education, as approved by ACECQA
- Be innovative and love creating beautiful and engaging learning spaces
- Have a current Working With Children Check
- Hold current First Aid Training
- Hold current HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
- Have completed Foundations Child Safety Training (Gecko)
