About the role

An exciting opportunity to join a growing retirement village business. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of Lake Mulwala retirement village, comprising 55 independent living units. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong organisational skills and would like a varied role combining village management, resident engagement, administration and property sales. You will become the friendly face of the village and play an key role in ensuring residents enjoy a safe, well-maintained and welcoming community.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day management and operation of the village

- Be the primary point of contact for residents and prospective residents

- Build positive relationships with residents and contractors

- Manage general administration and village correspondence

- Coordinate maintenance and repairs and follow up contractors

- Assist with village budgets, invoices and general financial administration

- Undertake basic bookkeeping and financial record keeping

- Respond to resident enquiries and help resolve issues





- Conduct regular inspections of the village and common areas to ensure the village is presented to the highest standards

- Manage vacant units and coordinate their presentation for sale, including coordinating contractors and overseeing the reinstatement of vacant homes

About you

- Friendly, approachable and enjoy working with older people

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

- Confident communicating with residents, families, contractors and prospective purchasers

- Self-motivated and able to work independently

- Comfortable managing a variety of tasks and priorities

- Professional, reliable and well presented

- Confident using computers and basic software programs

- Previous bookkeeping or basic accounting experience would be highly regarded

- Experience in property sales or real estate would be an advantage
