About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, contributing to accurate reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

- Prepare weekly cash flow management and reporting

- Process monthly payroll

- Support the Financial Controller with month-end close, general ledger review, and maintenance

- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax and statutory compliance, including PAYG, IAS, and BAS

- Liaise with external tax agents and other key stakeholders

- Maintain employee records, including contracts, agreements, and related documentation

- Support the production of monthly reporting packs and financial analysis

- Identify opportunities to evaluate and improve financial processes and systems

- Assist with year-end audit preparation

About you

- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent required

- CPA/CA qualified or studying towards membership, highly desirable

- Full working rights in Australia





- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant role or Public Practice preferred

- Sound understanding of accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end processes

- Exposure to tax and statutory compliance (PAYG, BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax)

- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently while collaborating with the wider team

- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders

- Experience with Xero and solid Excel skills
