About the role

Are you passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals and create greater independence? As an NDIS Mentor, you’ll work alongside NDIS participants aged 14–65 to build their confidence, skills and capacity to pursue employment and education opportunities.

You’ll provide personalised mentoring, practical employment support and engaging group activities, while building strong relationships with participants, employers, families, support coordinators and community stakeholders. This is a hands-on, community-based role where you’ll help participants take meaningful steps towards their goals and connect with opportunities that work for them.

Additionally you will:

- Build positive,



trusting and respectful relationships with participants and support them to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
- Help participants identify their goals and develop practical plans to achieve them.
- Facilitate engaging employment skills activities and group sessions that build work readiness.
- Support participants with job searching, career exploration and employment preparation.
- Provide coaching and mentoring, monitor progress and adapt support strategies to meet individual needs.
- Develop relationships with employers to identify work experience and employment opportunities.
- Support participants during work experience, workplace transitions and commencement of employment.
- Maintain accurate participant records, case notes, reports and customer management system information.

This is a casual position, with hours varying according to participant demand and operational requirements. The role involves regular onsite and community-based work and is not ordinarily suitable for regular work-from-home arrangements. We’re looking for someone who is person-centred, motivated and genuinely passionate about helping people achieve their goals.

Ideally you will have:

- Experience supporting people with disability, employment services participants or people requiring tailored support.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.




- The ability to motivate and support participants to achieve employment and education goals.
- Confidence engaging with employers, community organisations and other stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team.
- Good written communication, record keeping and reporting skills.
- Cultural awareness and a commitment to working respectfully and inclusively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- A reliable, roadworthy and registered insured motor vehicle is an inherent requirement of the role to transport oneself to participant appointments and work related engagements.
