About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled, friendly, and energetic Barista to join our team at U&CO; Cafe. You’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and other beverages, delivering excellent customer service, and helping create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to a consistently high standard
Take customer orders accurately and process payments efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, equipment, and service areas
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Restock milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies as needed
Engage with customers in a friendly and qualified manner
Support other team members during busy periods (food service, cleaning, etc.)
Assist with opening and closing duties as rostered
Uphold cafe standards for quality, presentation, and speed of service

Requirements




Previous barista experience preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate)
Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and latte art is an advantage
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
