CPC Engineering is a multi-disciplined engineering design, construction and project management company with a solid reputation for delivering professional, practical and cost-effective services to the resource industry.

We are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Designer and a Senior Civil / Structural Designer to join our Drawing Office on a staff basis. Contract terms will also be considered for suitable candidates.

This is an excellent opportunity for designers with a strong background in minerals processing to contribute to the design and delivery of major projects across gold, copper and nickel operations .
Preparation of civil and structural drawings including foundations, footings, platforms, walkways, structural steelwork and general arrangements
Detailing of structural steel connections, bulk material handling structures and equipment support structures
Production of concept, preliminary and detailed design drawings through to construction-ready issue
Working from engineer's calculations, sketches and markups to produce accurate, fit-for-purpose drawings
Coordination and clash detection with other disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical) in a multi-disciplinary environment
Maintaining drawing registers,



revision control and documentation in line with company and client standards
Site measure-ups and verification of existing conditions where required
Liaising with engineers, project managers and clients to ensure design intent is accurately captured

About you
Trade or tertiary qualification in Drafting, Design or a related discipline
Proven experience as a Civil/Structural Designer within the resources or minerals processing sector
Proficiency in Autodesk products, and ideally Advanced Steel
Sound understanding of Australian structural and civil design standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables to deadlines
A collaborative, team-first approach and explicit communication skills
