Coasteel Engineering is a family-owned and operated structural steel fabrication company on the Sunshine Coast. Due to an increase in demand for our services, an chance has arisen for a Boilermaker/Fabricator to join our team.

The Position:

The position is full-time (secure employment!) and available for immediate start. Ordinary hours are Monday to Friday, with plenty of overtime hours available at overtime rates.

The position will involve a wide range of structural steel fabrication work for residential, commercial/industrial and custom projects. There will be an opportunity for the right candidate to be trained in-house to operate our advanced technologies, including CNC machinery and robotic welders. There is also a possibility of in office work if required.

Successful applicants will have the following:
Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade)
Prior experience in structural steel




The ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
Knowledge of protected work practices and WH&S;
Good communication skills
Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
Current drivers’ license
Forklift license and/or EWP ticket desirable but not mandatory
On-site experience highly regarded
