About the role

Working alongside experienced fabrication and installation teams, this full-time position provides hands-on support to skilled tradespeople across the fabrication and installation of large structural steel and outdoor structures.

Key responsibilities
Assisting boilermakers, fabricators, installers and other tradespeople as required
Assisting with loading and unloading where required, deliveries and collection of materials, and supplies
Material handling and movement of steel and components
Using power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
General workshop and labouring duties
Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas
Keeping the workshop, yard and work areas clean, protected and organised
Following company Secure Work Procedures, SWMS and WHS requirements

About you
Previous experience as a Trades Assistant, General Hand or Labourer, preferably within structural steel, fabrication, or construction
Experience using hand and power tools
Good mechanical and practical aptitude
The physical fitness required for an active, hands-on role




A current Australian driver's licence
Strong safety awareness
Valuable communication and teamwork skills
A reliable and punctual approach to work
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
