We are urgently seeking two (2) Field Workers to join the Streetscape team with a local government council crew based in Ipswich.
1 x position: 9-day fortnight – 76 hours per fortnight, 6:00am–3:00pm

Duties include maintaining parks and sports fields, including:
Maintaining garden beds in parks, streetscapes and median strips.
Weed identification and control.
Mulching garden beds to improve presentation and plant health.
Fertilising and treating plants to support growth and health.
Replacing damaged, diseased or dead plants.
Site clean-up and maintenance
Inspecting landscapes for pests, diseases and irrigation issues
Following safety procedures and participating in toolbox talks

We are seeking:
Previous experience with landscaping or parks and gardens work.
An appropriate level of physical fitness for the work being performed.
Current C class drivers licence (MR Licence advantageous but not essential)
Construction Industry White Card.

work ethic and commitment to safety with proven ability to follow directions and work as part of a team (supported by references).

Due to the nature of the work, please note that any offer of employment will be subject to a pre-employment medical, which includes drug and alcohol screening, to ensure you are fit to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role, together with a criminal history check.Mandatory PPE requirements apply and you must be willing to be face-fit tested for a P2 disposable respirator prior to starting.
