Join Our Baking Team at Bakers Delight Wallan
We are looking for an experienced baker to join our production team atBakers Delight Wallan, with a particular focus onbowl and bench work.
This role would suit a qualified baker or an experienced bakery worker who is confident mixing doughs, managing dough development and working efficiently across the bench.
Solid bowl and bench capabilities are the most important skills we are looking for.Oven experience is also highly regarded, but our oven setup is straightforward and training can be provided.
About the role
You will work as part of our production team preparing our daily bread and bakery range to Bakers Delight standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Mixing and managing a variety of doughs on thebowl
Following production sheets, recipes and dough procedures accurately
Monitoring dough development, temperatures and consistency
Strong hands-onbench work, including moulding, shaping and preparing products
Assisting with oven work and managing baking throughout production
Maintaining product quality and consistency
Keeping production areas clean, organised and food-safe
Working efficiently as part of a team to complete production on time
Simple Oven Setup
Our Wallan bakery has a straightforward oven operation.
We run:
2 rack ovens
No Rotel oven
Simple production designed around working efficiently with the racks
If you have oven experience, you should find the setup easy to work with.
Experience usingJack Pro+ equipmentis a bonus, however it isnot essential.




Full training can be provided for the right person.

Strong and confident on thebowl
Experienced and capable across thebench
Comfortable working independently when required
Able to follow production plans and recipes accurately
Reliable, punctual and organised
Focused on producing consistent, high-quality products
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
A good team member who communicates well with other bakers
Experienced with rack ovens or willing to learn our oven setup
Previous Bakers Delight experience would be highly regarded, but it is not essential if you have solid commercial baking experience.
Training & Development
We can provide training in our systems, equipment and production processes.
If you already have strongbowl and bench fundamentals, we are happy to work with you on the rest, including ourJack Pro+ equipment and rack oven setup.
