About the role
Seismic Drilling Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Drill Fitter/HD Diesel Fitter to join our team in Wangara, WA.
This position is a critical role in maintaining and repairing our heavy drilling equipment, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
This is a FIFO/DIDO position out of Perth, Western Australia with periodic work required to be carried out in our Wangara Workshop.
What you'll be doing
Performing scheduled servicing and maintenance on a range of heavy drilling rigs and equipment
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults on drilling rigs and support vehicles
Ordering and maintaining a stock of parts and consumables required for repairs and maintenance
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations
What we're looking for




Formal trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or equivalent
Experience in a similar role, ideally within the mining or resources sector (not essential)
Robust mechanical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues
Valuable working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
Excellent attitude towards safety, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work
Robust communication and teamwork skills
Current driver's licence and ability to work in remote locations
Unrestricted HR licence or willing to obtain
National Police Clearance and ability to pass medical including drug screen
Senior First Aid
