Role Description The Clinical Trial Coordinator is a part time, on-site role based in Gawler, or Victor Harbor in SA, responsible for coordinating the operational aspects of clinical trials within BHFLHN.
The role includes organising and managing study start-up activities, maintaining trial documentation, and ensuring adherence to study protocols, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
The coordinator will support investigators with patient recruitment, informed consent processes, data collection, and follow-up, while monitoring trial progress and timelines.




Day-to-day tasks involve liaising with internal clinical teams and external stakeholders, scheduling study visits, preparing reports, and contributing to quality assurance activities.
The position also requires continuous collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice, patient safety, and efficient trial delivery.
Qualifications Strong Communication skills, including transparent written documentation, effective interpersonal communication, and the ability to liaise with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.Demonstrated understanding of Clinical Trials and Protocol requirements, including ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, informed consent processes, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.Research skills, including data collection, data management, critical appraisal of information, and accurate reporting of trial outcomes.Project Management capabilities to coordinate multiple studies, manage timelines and resources, and support efficient trial operations.Relevant tertiary qualification in health sciences, nursing, biomedical science, or a related discipline, or equivalent clinical research experience.Experience in a hospital or clinical research setting, with familiarity in working within local health networks or public health systems.Strong organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.Proficiency in clinical trial management systems and standard office software, and the ability to learn new digital tools as required.
