OurBlair Atholoffice is seeking an experiencedSocial Worker(AHP3) orProfessional Officer(PO3) to join the team as aSupervisor.
This pivotal role will provide leadership predicated on performance management and elevating social work/case management practice and standards.
You will ensure effective service delivery standards are exceeded to safeguard the development of children and young people.
This leadership role will heighten DCP's professional practice goals and strengthen your mentorship and training capabilities.
This is asingle vacancy offered under a dual classification, meaning it may be filled by either an experienced, qualified Social Worker (AHP3) or Professional Officer (PO3) depending on the qualification and suitability of the successful applicant.
Essential Qualifications:
AHP (Allied Health Professional) positionsrequire applicants to hold aSocial Workqualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
PO (Skilled Officer) positionsrequire relevant qualifications inCommunity Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Healthor other related fields.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification,
may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
In this role, you will:
Implement relevant assessment and culturally inclusive frameworks to lead a multidisciplinary team
Evaluate service delivery to ensure optimal outcomes for children and young people
Oversee staff development through dedicated training that provides opportunities for professional growth and prosperity
Manage an array of complex risk assessments to analyse core issues and enact appropriate resolution strategies
Provide care services that are inclusive of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
About you:
You possess excellent leadership capabilities to lead a culturally skilled team
You have experience in identifying risks to children and can enact suitable intervention methods
You can resolve workplace conflict through thoughtful and compassionate guidance
You will demonstrate competent written and verbal communication skills
You are an independent worker who exemplifies precise judgment and initiative when undertaking duties.
Salary:
AHP3: $112,139 - $120,284 p.a. + 12% super
+4% child protection allowance
+regional financial incentive
+Professional Development Allowance - entitlement to claim reimbursement of eligible professional development expenses
+Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.
PO3: $111,870 - $119,994 p.a. + 12% super
+additional child protection allowance.
