About the role
Luna n Soul is looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards and supporting the effective daily operation of the kitchen.
Hours:38 hours per week
Key responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
Plan menus and assist in developing new dishes.
Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation.
Manage stock levels and order kitchen supplies.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
Train and supervise kitchen staff when required.
Coordinate with management and front-of-house staff.
Minimize food waste and control kitchen costs.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
About you
A relevant commercial cookery qualification,
such as Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent qualification.
At least two years of relevant work experience as a Chef.
Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
A good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
The ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
