About the role
You'll be responsible for helping customers choose the right paints, colours and products for their projects, while providing excellent service and maintaining a well-presented paint department.
Key responsibilities
Assisting retail and trade customers with paint and product selection
Driving sales across department with prep, paint and accessories
Providing advice on colours, finishes and application
Mixing and tinting paint accurately
Processing sales and operating the point-of-sale system
Keeping the paint department clean, organised and well stocked
Ordering, receiving and replenishing stock
Driving promotions in store with merchandising displays
Building positive relationships with customers, tradies, suppliers and our Mitre 10 team
About you




Excellent customer service and communication skills
Reliable, enthusiastic and well presented
Enjoys working with people
Strong interest in paint, decorating, DIY or home improvement
Can work independently as well as part of a team
Previous paint or hardware experience (preferred, but not essential for the right candidate)
