We are on the lookout for a neuro-affirming Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and their families.
Our Ideal CandidateWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate clinician who has a passion for working with children and families and sharing skill and expertise with our community; and is committed to implementing neuro-affirming practices and best practice in Early Intervention.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in diverse work, including individual and group therapy, joint therapy sessions with speech pathologists, and occupational therapy support for 3 and 4 year old preschoolers in long daycare centres under the Flying Start Initiative.
The role will involve a mix of community and clinic based work as we grow our preschool and therapy supports in the early years in our local community.
A Typical Day May Include but Not Limited ToProviding therapy for children alongside support and coaching for caregivers in areas such as regulation, toileting, motor skill development, mealtimes, self-care, sensory processing and integration, and executive functioningContributing to OT program development and delivery of evidence-informed supports in childcare centresCollaborating with speech pathologists for joint therapy sessions and shared clients,
