Physiotherapist – Grade 1/2
Full Time - $74,****** - $90,****** per year dependant on experience
The Role:
The Mildura Base Public Hospital Physiotherapy Department provides high-quality services across acute and sub-acute settings.
We currently have two Grade 1 Physiotherapist positions available – one within ourAcute Inpatientteam and one within ourOutpatient Servicesteam.
As a Grade 1/2 Physiotherapist, you'll provide client-focused assessment, treatment and consultative services as part of a multidisciplinary team, working to the competency standards of the profession across your caseload.
You'll spend the majority of your time in direct client care, facilitate smooth transitions for clients through the health care system, and contribute to quality improvement and your own career development within a supportive Allied Health team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential:
Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent
Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
1-5 years of acute hospital experience across caseloads such as neurological, orthopaedic, respiratory and surgical conditions
Demonstrated ability to work as an independent adult learner, seeking external professional development and clinical supervision as needed
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience to assess, treat and plan discharge for patients with non-complex conditions, establish therapeutic goals and interventions, and prescribe equipment or refer to other disciplines
Desirable:
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, multi-functional environment
Ability to work towards practising independently
Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated time management skills to manage a caseload,



meet deadlines and set goals
Proficient IT skills in email, internet and Word
This role is classified under the Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement, Physiotherapist Grade 1.
