Security Clearance:NV1 Mandatory
We are seeking aSenior Cyber Security GRC Specialist – APS6 equivalentto support the Australian Electoral Commission's (AEC)cyber security resilience uplift program.
This is a surge role supporting electoral events, withextended hours and weekend work required during key event periods.
Temporary work-from-home arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to security considerations within solution design
Review and develop cyber security requirements
Prepare communications and documentation for senior executive decision-making
Coordinate security assurance activities, includingIRAP and penetration testing
Lead the development of formal cyber security and GRC documentation
Support election‐specific cyber security requirements during electoral events
Robust knowledge of Information Security Manual (ISM),



Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Essential Eight
Demonstrated experience inCyber Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
Strong stakeholder and client engagement skills with a track record of achieving outcomes
Proven experience developingGRC and security documentation
5+ years' experiencein relevant cyber security/GRC roles
Maximum hours:45 hours per week
Contract:12 months + 12-month extension
NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory.
