Our federal Goverment Clientis seekingmultiple Senior Infrastructure Engineers (EL1 equivalent)to help deliver major outcomes inapplication packaging and desktop modernisation.
In this hands‐on role, you'll work acrossWindows 11 endpoint management, ensuring requestable applications and hardware drivers remain supported, patched, and reliably deployed usingMicrosoft Intune.
You'll contribute to uplifting desktop security and compliance, improving provisioning throughAutopilot, and supporting a transition fromhybrid‐joinedWindows 11 devices toward anEntra‐joined Windows 11 SOEwith apasswordless experience—all while partnering closely with internal teams and an external vendor to deliver high‐impact, enterprise‐scale results.
Required Skills
Proven expertise inapplication packaging, testing, updating, and deploymentusingMicrosoft Intune(includingWin32andMSIX) and lifecycle management
Strong capability administeringMicrosoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)includingdevice configuration, compliance policies, and endpoint configuration
Experience withIntune Autopilotdeployment anddevice provisioning
Working experience withSCCM/MECM, particularlyoperating system deployment (OSD)andtask sequence administration
Knowledge and implementation experience withapplication control(e.g.,AirLock,WDAC) and endpoint security/compliance requirements
StrongPowerShell scriptingskills to automate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks
Ability to provideLevel 3 supportfor SOE, endpoint management, and application packaging services
Solid understanding of cloud + hybrid endpoint environments, includingEntra ID,Entra Kerberos authentication,Active Directory,



and configuration profiles for hybrid/cloud devices accessing on‐prem resources
Strong technical writing skills—able to produceknowledge base articles,technical instructional documentation,support procedures, andimplementation guides
Practical understanding ofrelease, change, and incident managementassociated with application deployments (including raising changes)
Nice to Have Skills
Experience managingsupervised Apple iOS devicesvia Intune, including mobile app deployment
Experience modernising environments fromSCCM-dependentmanagement tomodern managementwith fullAutopilotdeployments
Experience supportingVirtual Desktop Infrastructure, specificallyWindows 365andAzure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Preferred Education and Experience
Senior-level experience (aligned toEL1 equivalent) delivering endpoint engineering outcomes inenterprise Windows environments
Demonstrated experience producingdesign documentation, architecture documentation, and as‐built configuration documentation
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and improve authentication and endpoint solutions inhybrid and cloud‐joined Windows 11environments
Other Requirements
Location/Working Model:ACT-basedrole withhybridworking arrangements; must be able to work in theCanberra office(adaptable work requests considered)
Hours:Up to40 hours per week
Contract:12‐month initial contract, withup to two extensions of up to 12 months each
Security:Must be able to obtainNegative Vetting Level 1 (NV1)clearance
