About the role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Boilermaker with expertise in chassis alignment to join our workshop team.
In this dual role, you will be responsible for both metal fabrication and chassis alignment on a variety of heavy vehicles.
Your work will ensure optimal performance, safety, and quality for every project.
Key Responsibilities:
Use alignment equipment to assess and correct chassis alignment
Conduct inspections to identify misalignments using diagnostic tools
Adjust suspension systems, straighten chassis rails, and perform welding as needed
Accurately interpret engineered drawings and specifications
Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components
Keep precise records of alignment work, measurements, and repairs
Coordinate repairs with technicians and the Workshop Manager
Ensure quality repairs and complete checklists for insurance work
Log additional work and communicate changes to the Workshop Manager
Work effectively in a team and independently when required
What we are looking for:
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator (or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in chassis alignment and heavy vehicle repairs
Strong ability to read and interpret engineered drawings
Skilled in welding, cutting, and fabricating metal components
Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality work
