Curtain Machinist – Kilsyth
Metro Shades makes custom curtains and blinds for retailers and builders across Victoria.
We're after an experienced machinist to join our curtain workroom.
The job
Cut and join fabric to size from job sheets
Machine side hems and bottom hems
Apply heading tape and finish to spec
Work across sheers, blockout linings and heavy fabrics
Industrial machines
You'll need
Experience on industrial sewing machines
Accurate measuring and cutting
A positive eye for finish
Reliable, and easy to work with
Curtain experience is a bonus.
If you've sewn clothing, upholstery or soft furnishings, we'll train you on the rest.
What we offer
Full time, Monday to Friday.
No weekends.
Steady work all year
Small team, on-site parking
