About Us:

VTG Waste & Recycling are proud to be a leading provider of waste and recycling services across the Northern Territory. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled and reliable Accountant to join our team and play a key role in supporting our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage general ledger, journals, cost allocations and monthly reconciliations
Coordinate accounts payable, receivable and provide coverage for when staff are on leave.
Monitor cash flow and assist with financial forecasting
Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation obligations
Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Chief Financial Officer

What You'll Bring:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience,



preferably in a service-based business
Experience using accounting software (Xero preferred)
Solid attention to detail and organisational skills
Working knowledge of Australian accounting standards
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
A can do attitude and willingness to learn
