Tumby Bay Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Medical, Psychiatric and Surgical (MPS) unit on a seven-week contract from late August through mid-October 2026. Based in rural South Australia, this role offers the chance to work across emergency, acute, and aged care settings in a close-knit healthcare workplace. The position is offered at 0.63 to 1.0 FTE, with a salary range of AUD69.42 to AUD92.71 per hour, plus a rural and remote allowance. Staff may be redeployed across different areas depending on operational needs and skill mix requirements.

Preferred Requirements




Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Experience working in mixed acute care environments, ideally including emergency or aged care
Ability to work flexibly across different clinical areas and adapt to changing operational needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a small, team-oriented team
Willingness to work a rotating roster including shifts as required

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
Experience in rural or remote healthcare settings is advantageous
Current First Aid and CPR certification
