What the role is
n
We're looking for Soil Technicians to join our Newcastle team on a full-time, part-time or casual basis. Whether you're current to the industry or already have experience in construction materials testing, this is a great opportunity to contribute to vital infrastructure projects across the region.
n
This is a hands‐on, practical role that will see you working both on construction sites and in our laboratory.
n
Depending on your level of experience, you'll be involved in:
n
n
Conducting soil testing on site and in the lab;
n
Accurately recording and reporting data in accordance with Australian Standards;
n
Supporting geotechnical investigations for major infrastructure projects;
n
Collaborating with skilled technicians, engineers and project teams.
n
n
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical, practical work, is dependable and loves learning by doing. No prior experience is needed, just a good attitude and a willingness to follow procedures with care.
n
For experienced applicants, there are opportunities to step into more advanced work,



mentoring or reporting responsibilities.

About you
n

Enjoy hands‐on, practical work and don't mind getting a dirty;
n
Are a team player with a strong work ethic and good attention to detail;
n
Are safety‐conscious, dependable, and proactive;
n
Can follow procedures accurately and consistently;
n
Hold a current Australian driver's licence;
n
Hold a White Card and/or Nuclear Gauge licence – highly regarded, but we can help you obtain these if needed.

Previous experience in a soils lab, construction or civil field testing is highly desirable for experienced applicants.
