We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Mincer / Pick Packer / Meat Production Worker to join our production team in Melbourne.
n
This is a permanent full-time position with an early 4:00 am start, suited to someone who is physically fit, dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced meat production environment. Reasonable overtime maybe required.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Picking and packing customer orders accurately
n
Cutting and trimming meat using knives
n
Operating a mincer and assisting with meat preparation
n
Weighing, packing and labelling products
n
Heavy lifting and moving heavy tubs of meat and mince
n
Loading and unloading products as required
n
Some local driving and deliveries
n
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
n
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
n
Working efficiently to meet daily production and dispatch deadlines
n
Reporting directly to the Production Manager
n




Assisting with other general production and warehouse duties as required
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will:
n
Be reliable and punctual, particularly for a 4:00 am start
n
Have previous experience in meat production, food manufacturing, warehousing or a similar workplace
n
Be confident and competent handling knives
n
Be physically fit and capable of regularly lifting heavy tubs and boxes
n
Be comfortable working in a chilled/cold production environment
n
Have good attention to detail when picking and packing orders
n
Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
n
Have a strong focus on workplace safety and food hygiene
n
Be willing to learn and assist across different areas of production
n
Hold a current Australian driver's licence due to some driving duties
n
Previous experience with meat cutting, trimming, mincing or food production will be highly regarded.
