A major bank in Sydney is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

Design deploy, operate, and enhance the software platforms and automation systems that underpin modern network engineering.
n
Develop and maintain automation using Ansible and Python.
n
Work with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to deliver automation capabilities.
n
Transform complex network workflows into scalable, reliable internal tools and services that improve operational efficiency and resilience.
n
Collaborate closely with network engineers to understand challenges, develop innovative solutions, and continuously improve how large-scale networks are managed and automated.
n




This is a software-first role focused on building robust automation frameworks, platforms, and testing capabilities that support day-to-day network operations.

Key Skills / Experience
n
n
Solid python and ansible experience
n
Demonstrated hands-on software development experience
n
Experience building applications in the networking domain is highly desirable
n
Understanding of operating systems, Linux, and container platforms
(Docker/Kubernetes).
n
Ability to write database queries, with working knowledge of MongoDB is desirable
