Urgent Needed: Support Worker in Gladstone

Position Summary
n
The Support Worker will provide assistance to clients in accordance with their individual NDIS plans, promoting independence, safety, and overall well-being.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Provide support to Child Safety Clients
n
Assist with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming
n
Provide transportation support to appointments and community activities
n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care plans and progress notes
n
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other members of the care team
n
Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure client well-being
n
Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with NDIS best practices
n

Requirements
n




Minimum of a high school certificate or equivalent
n
At least Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Aged Care, or related field), or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded)
n
Lived experience and/or paid experience supporting people with disability (PLUS with Child Safety)
n
Must be currently located in Australia at the time of application
n
Must hold valid work rights and lawful permission to live and work in Australia at the time of application (VISA sponsorship not available)
n
Availability to work across day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends
n
Solid understanding of the NDIS and its Practice Standards
n
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and duty of care obligations
n
Ability to work with a diverse client base, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity to varying abilities, backgrounds, and communication needs
n
Basic care skills, including first aid (or willingness to obtain)
n
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital systems
