Disability Support Worker - Fortitude Valley (Experience Required)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care for a male client with a spinal cord injury. This role involves offering one-on-one support both within the home and in the community. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, domestic tasks, and community access.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
n




A minimum of 3 months of paid experience working with clients with physical disabilities.
n
Experience in hoist transfers and bowel therapy (including digital
stimulation/enema).
n
Strong time management skills and the ability to learn quickly.
n
A positive, can-do attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
n
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
n
Meal preparation skills and the ability to assist with dietary needs.
n
Preferred: Residing within ***** minutes of Fortitude Valley, QLD.
