Una Highfields is a newly established, purpose-built 105-place Early Learning and Kindergarten service, opened in early ****.
n
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Centre Director with robust operational and educational leadership skills to lead our Highfields team, build capability, drive performance and continue developing a strong culture of quality, accountability and child-centred practice.

About the Role
n
As Centre Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of Una Highfields.
n
You will lead your team to deliver exceptional outcomes for children and families while ensuring strong performance across quality, compliance, occupancy, staffing,



financial management and team engagement.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the daily operations and overall performance of the service
n
Build a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture
n
Coach, mentor and develop educators and emerging leaders
n
Provide strong leadership around curriculum, pedagogy and educational practice
n
Partner with the Educational Leader to strengthen programming, critical reflection and intentional teaching
n
Drive team engagement, performance and retention
n
Manage rosters and staffing in line with occupancy, ratios and operational requirements
n
Support occupancy growth, enquiries and enrolments
n
Maintain strong financial and operational oversight
n
Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations
n
Drive continuous improvement across the service
n
Build strong relationships with children, families and the Highfields community
n
Embed Una's philosophy, values and child safe culture in everyday practice
n
n
About You
n
You are an experienced early childhood leader who can balance the operational requirements of running a large service with a genuine passion for quality early childhood education.
n
You will bring:
n
n
Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
n
Proven experience as a Centre Director,



Centre Manager or experienced Assistant Director
n
Strong operational capability across rostering, staffing, occupancy and financial performance
n
Strong knowledge of curriculum, pedagogy and educational leadership
n
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop educators
n
Strong understanding of the NQF, NQS, National Law and Regulations
n
Confidence managing compliance and regulatory requirements
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
Ability to lead performance conversations and build accountability
n
A proactive, organised and solutions-focused leadership style
n

Current Queensland Blue Card
n
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
n
Current Child Protection training
n
Knowledge of safe sleep and rest practices
n
Diploma or Bachelor qualification recognised for Early Childhood Education and Care
n
