Are you a hospitality professional who thrives in a vibrant and customer-focused environment? Lovedale Brewbar is looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Duty Manager to join our team full-time. You'll bring strong operational experience from a busy bar, pub, restaurant, brewery, or cellar door. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a hands‐on approach to hospitality, excellent communication abilities,
and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences while driving operational excellence.

About the Role:
n
Supporting the Lovedale Brewbar Venue Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar while leading the team to deliver exceptional service standards. You'll be a hands‐on leader who guides, motivates, and supports team members, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience.
n
In this role, you will work closely with the Food & Beverage team to maintain high operational standards, drive team performance, and foster a positive workplace culture. You will also assist in the supervision of other Food & Beverage outlets across the property as required, ensuring consistent service excellence throughout the guest journey.
n
About the Role:
n
n
Manage shift operations, including team briefings, delegation of duties, and monitoring service standards throughout each shift.
n
Provide strong, hands‐on leadership to the Food & Beverage team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high‐performing workplace culture.
n
Supervise, coach, and support team members, providing regular feedback, training, and development opportunities to drive performance and engagement.
n
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of team members to build a capable and engaged workforce.
n
Address and resolve team performance issues in a timely and professional manner, escalating where appropriate.
n
Manage staff rosters, shift allocations, and team performance during service periods.
n
Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing, food safety, workplace health and safety, and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements.
n
Manage guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
n
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock management to maintain operational efficiency.
n
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as venue policies and procedures, to uphold a safe and secure environment for both guests and staff.
n
Collaborate with the Venue Manager in budgeting and financial management, providing insights into operational performance and cost control.
n
Assist in planning and executing events, coordinating logistics and staff assignments to ensure seamless operations.
n
Ensure the venue is presented to a high standard, including cleanliness, organisation, and maintenance of service areas.
n
Complete cash handling, daily reconciliations, reporting, and administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
n
Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and management teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
n

Skills and Experience:
n
n
Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Duty Manager, Venue Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role.
n
Proven experience working in a fast‐paced bar, pub, restaurant, brewery, cellar door, or hospitality environment.
n
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
n
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders.
n
Sound understanding of food and beverage operations, including service standards, stock control, and venue presentation.
n
Experience managing teams in a high‐volume setting and effectively resolving customer and staff issues.
n
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
n
Demonstrated ability to manage shift operations, delegate responsibilities, and maintain service quality.
n
Knowledge of workplace health and safety, food safety, and liquor licensing requirements.
n
Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and daily reconciliations.
n
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
n
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (essential).
