Senior Town Planner

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a well-established consultancy delivering a diverse range of planning and development projects across NSW.
n
This role provides high-level planning advice to developers, stakeholders, and project teams while ensuring statutory compliance and quality outcomes across the built and natural environment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide high-level, accurate town planning advice to clients and stakeholders
n
Manage and assess Development Applications in accordance with NSW legislation
n
Prepare planning assessments, reports, and conditions of consent
n
Conduct pre-lodgement meetings and provide upfront strategic adviceLiaise with councils, government departments, and approval authorities
n
Inspect development sites as required
n
Maintain currency with planning legislation, policy changes, and best practice
n
n
About You
n




n
Degree qualified in Town/Urban Planning (or equivalent)
n
Minimum 3+ years' experience within the NSW planning system
n
Robust understanding of the EP&A; Act, planning instruments, and DA processes
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Organised, commercially aware, and able to work autonomously
n
n
This is a senior technical role offering flexibility, autonomy, and long-term career progression—without immediate Principal-level pressure.
