Plus Taxation Pty Ltd Taxation Accountant We are seeking a motivated and experienced Taxation Accountant to join our growing public accounting firm on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will provide taxation, accounting and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of individual and business clients while ensuring compliance with Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare and lodge individual, company, trust, partnership and SMSF income tax returns.
n
Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns and other taxation compliance documents.
n
Provide taxation advice and assist clients with tax planning and compliance obligations.
n
Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on behalf of clients.
n
Analyse financial information and identify taxation issues and opportunities.
n
Maintain accurate client records and ensure work is completed within required deadlines.
n
Use accounting software including Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Office to manage client accounts and reporting.
n
Assist senior accountants and managers in delivering accounting and business advisory services.

Qualifications and Experience
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
n
At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in a public practice taxation firm.
n
Sound knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.
n
Experience preparing financial statements and taxation returns for a range of entities.
n
Proficiency in Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software.
n
Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills.
