We are seeking an experienced
WWTP & Water Reuse Project Engineer
to support a major manufacturing transformation and sustainability program within a leading FMCG production facility. The successful candidate will lead wastewater treatment, water reuse, and environmental improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, sustainability performance, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) optimization and performance improvement initiatives.
Manage water reuse, recycling, and irrigation projects to reduce overall water consumption.
Support WWTP upgrade and expansion projects from design through commissioning.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, discharge requirements, and sustainability objectives.
Identify opportunities for water, energy, and resource efficiency improvements across manufacturing operations.
Coordinate engineering contractors, consultants, equipment suppliers, and site stakeholders.
Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and reporting activities.
Provide technical expertise during installation, commissioning, startup, and performance ramp-up phases.
Develop and implement long-term water reduction and sustainability roadmaps.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and environmental teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering,
Water Engineering, Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in
wastewater treatment, water reuse, utilities, or environmental engineering projects
within manufacturing environments.
Solid knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment processes and effluent management systems.
Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements and sustainability initiatives.
Experience managing contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to work hands-on within an operational manufacturing environment.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
Food, dairy, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing environments.
Industrial utilities and water infrastructure projects.
Water recycling and reuse programs.
Sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives.
Brownfield manufacturing projects.
Commissioning and startup experience.
