We're currently working with a major global organisation on an exciting opportunity for a hands‐on Project Accountant to join their Finance team within a large Engineering function.
n
This role is ideal for a finance qualified who enjoys working with large data sets, improving processes and using technology to make finance more efficient and accurate. You don't need to be highly senior.
n
We're looking for someone who is a hands‐on doer, with strong finance fundamentals and the ability to get stuck into projects and deliver outcomes. This could be an ideal opportunity for a Big 4 first mover looking to transition into industry, as well as candidates on a Working Holiday Visa.

About the role
n
You'll be involved in a range of finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, including:
n
n
Building and improving Alteryx workflows to automate finance processes
n
Working with large data sets and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
n
Reviewing processes to ensure they are accurate, controlled and minimise financial risk
n
Supporting system implementations and finance-related projects
n
Identifying potential risks and ensuring new processes and systems make sense from a finance perspective
n
Helping modernise and streamline existing finance processes
n
Working with stakeholders across different teams and locations, including interstate teams
n
Ensuring processes are accurate, efficient and fit for purpose
n

About You
n

Solid accounting/finance experience, ideally from a Big 4 environment
n
Experience working with large data sets
n
Hands‐on Alteryx experience, ideally with the ability to build and improve workflows
n
An interest in finance transformation, automation and process improvement
n
Experience or exposure to system implementations
n
Strong attention to detail and an understanding of financial controls and risk
n
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across different teams
n
A practical, hands‐on approach and a willingness to get into the detail
n
n
The opportunity This is an initial
n
6-month contract offering the opportunity to work on meaningful finance transformation initiatives within a large and complex Engineering environment.
n
