Ampersand are partnering with a leading professional services consultancy to recruit a Bids & Pursuits Advisor to join its high-performing Bids team on a 12-month contract.
n
This is an outstanding opportunity for a bids professional who enjoys working collaboratively, developing compelling submissions and supporting the pursuit of complex, high-value opportunities. You'll work alongside technical specialists, business development professionals and senior stakeholders to coordinate bids, contribute to pursuit strategies and help secure work that makes a lasting impact.

The Prospect
n
As a Bids & Pursuits Advisor, you'll play an integral role in coordinating and delivering high-quality submissions across a diverse portfolio of opportunities.
n
You'll support pursuit planning, manage proposal development and ensure bids are delivered on time, to a consistently high standard and aligned with client requirements.
n
You'll also contribute to improving bid processes, maintaining proposal resources and identifying smarter ways of working through technology and AI.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Coordinate the delivery of bids and pursuits from planning through to submission.
n
Support the development of pursuit strategies, win themes and client-focused messaging.
n
Manage tender timelines, compliance requirements and governance processes.
n
Coordinate input from technical specialists and key stakeholders to produce compelling submissions.
n
Prepare proposal documents, presentations and interview materials.
n
Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to deliver a seamless pursuit process.
n
Maintain proposal collateral, including project profiles, CVs and submission templates.
n




Support CRM and pipeline reporting, ensuring accurate pursuit data.
n
Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across bid processes.
n
Champion the use of technology and AI to improve bid quality, efficiency and consistency.
n

About You
n
You'll be an organised, proactive and collaborative bids professional with experience supporting complex pursuits in a professional services environment.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
Experience in bids, pursuits, proposals or business development within engineering, architecture, construction, infrastructure, consulting or another professional services environment.
n
A sound understanding of tendering and procurement processes.
n
Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
n
Strong written communication, editing and document production abilities.
n
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
n
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and PowerPoint, with CRM experience highly regarded.
n
A continuous improvement mindset and an interest in leveraging technology to enhance proposal quality and efficiency.
n
