Seaside Home Constructions is seeking a motivated and organised Carpenter who takes responsibility and pride in their work, and who can join our team
seamlessly.Experience
in Building and construction with a solid Carpentry trade backgroundis required.
n
Immediate Start, Remuneration package ($80k - $92k)
n
Skills and Experience
n
n
Must be an experienced Carpenter with general knowledge and skills with own basic hand tools/power tools/battery tools
n
Qualified Carpenter or Cert III in Carpentry and white card (both essential)
n
Multi-skilled with the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
n
n
Position Description
n
n
Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
n
Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter's level, plumb bob, and laser levels.
n
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
n
Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
n
Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
n
Ordering and selecting timbers and materials,



and preparing layouts
n
Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
n
Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
n
Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
n
Cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
n
Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structures.
n
Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
n
Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install.
n
Cutting wood joints
n
Constructs and installs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, and cuts, shapes and fits timber parts to form structures and fittings.
n
Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
n
Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
n
Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
n
Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
n
Repairing existing fittings
