Our Systems Manager – Hospitality
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the technology that powers exceptional guest and member experiences across The Newt in Somerset.
Reporting to the Head of Finance – Hospitality, you will oversee the governance, optimisation and development of our hospitality systems, connecting teams, improving performance and ensuring our platforms work seamlessly across the Estate.
From Oracle OPERA and restaurant reservations to membership, admissions and reporting platforms, you will be at the centre of our systems strategy—turning operational needs into smart, effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Own and govern systems supporting Hospitality, Membership, Admissions and Guest Experience.
Manage system configuration, including products, pricing, memberships, booking rules, inventory and user permissions.
Protect data accuracy and oversee secure, compliant payment system configuration.
Support and train users, creating clear processes, guidance and training materials.
Develop reporting that improves commercial visibility, decision‐making and revenue performance.
Lead system upgrades, improvement projects and the introduction of new functionality.
Drive integrations between Oracle OPERA, hospitality, membership, admissions, finance and reporting platforms.
Manage system suppliers while identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for
Strong experience managing operational business systems in a complex, fast‐moving environment.
Experience with hospitality, membership, admissions, CRM, reservation or booking platforms.
Knowledge of systems such as OPERA, HubSpot, ResDiary, SevenRooms, Acuity or Sage would be highly beneficial.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with experience producing and analysing operational reports.




A successful track record of delivering system improvements, integrations, implementations or change projects.
Excellent organisation, project management and attention to detail.
A confident, approachable communicator who can build strong relationships with operational teams, technical specialists and external suppliers.
A commercially aware, solutions‐focused mindset with a passion for technology, automation and continuous improvement.

The Hospitality Central team supports the financial, commercial and operational performance of The Newt's Hospitality, Membership, Admissions, and Guest Experience businesses.
The Hospitality Systems Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the systems that underpin these operations are effective, integrated, and aligned with business objectives.
Working across departments, the role enables informed decision‐making, operational excellence, and exceptional guest and member experiences through effective technology, reporting, and process management.
