We are currently seeking an experiencedSEQT Coordinatorto join our team at theGeorge Fisher Minein Mount Isa, working an 8:6 roster.
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with site leadership, the SEQT Coordinator will play a key role in driving safety, environmental, and quality performance across site operations.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, proactive engagement, and the ability to influence safe work behaviours in a dynamic underground mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and maintain Jetcrete'sSafety, Environment, Quality & Training (SEQT)standards
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Facilitate incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions
Maintain compliance with statutory requirements, site regulations, and client expectations
Develop and deliver training, toolbox talks, and safety initiatives
Monitor and report on SEQT performance metrics
Support document control, procedures,



and continuous improvement processes
Liaise with client representatives and regulatory authorities as required
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in aSEQT / HSEQ / Safety Coordinator rolewithin mining or heavy industry
Strong understanding ofunderground mining safety practices(preferred)
Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
Certificate IV in TAE***** Training and Assessment (must)
ICAM or similar incident investigation training (desirable)
Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and mining regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work in a remote site environment on a roster
