The Opportunity
Join a dynamic and expanding regional health service as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Gladstone Hospital.

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality anaesthetic and perioperative care while contributing to service development, teaching, and clinical governance.
As a Consultant Anaesthetist, You Will
Provide anaesthetic services across a broad case mix including:
General surgery
Orthopaedics
Obstetrics & gynaecology
Endoscopy and procedural lists
Dental and investigative services
Lead **pre-anaesthetic assessment clinics**
Deliver care to high-acuity patients, including **HDU ward rounds**
Provide advanced procedural care including:
Airway management
Ventilatory support
Central venous access
Acute and perioperative pain management
Coordinate patient transfers with Retrieval Services Queensland
Participate in the **on-call and after-hours roster**
Contribute to **clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement**
Mentor and supervise junior doctors and medical students
