The role
North West Tasmania based (remote work may be considered for the right applicant)
Full time or part time hours considered
Hybrid working arrangements considered, including some working from home
The Project Officer supports the delivery of organisational priorities, projects and reform workstreams.
The role provides practical project coordination and implementation support across the organisation, assisting to progress agreed priorities, funding applications, partnerships and organisational improvement initiatives.
You will need strong project coordination skills, initiative, organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
The position reports to the Reform Lead and works closely with the CEO and broader leadership team on agreed organisational priorities.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate and support the delivery of organisational projects, initiatives and reform workstreams
Develop and maintain project plans, actions, timelines and supporting documentation
Support the implementation of new initiatives, systems, processes and organisational priorities
Monitor progress, identify emerging issues and support practical solutions
Coordinate meetings, actions and information required to progress projects
Support the identification and progression of relevant grants, funding and partnership opportunities
Support the preparation and submission of funding applications
Support positive relationships with community organisations, government agencies, funders and other stakeholders
Support the implementation of organisational reform and strategic priorities
Support organisational reporting and preparation of project updates, briefings and other documentation
About you
Current or ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People registration
Satisfactory National Police Check




Ability to work within relevant legislative, organisational and professional requirements
Commitment to confidentiality, skilled boundaries and ethical practice
Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of women and children
Ability to work collaboratively within a small, agile and changing organisation
Relevant qualification and/or demonstrated experience in project coordination, project administration, organisational development or a related field
Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple projects or workstreams, including maintaining project plans and controls, tracking timelines and dependencies, driving actions and managing competing priorities
Strong organisational, communication and administrative skills

NWTWS is a specialist crisis accommodation service for women and children who are experiencing family violence and/or homelessness.
NWTWS offers wraparound therapeutic support to both women and children, including connection to and collaboration with other service providers.
