We are seeking an experienced Cook / Knife Hand to join our dynamic and fast-paced events catering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys working in large-scale hospitality environments, and takes pride in delivering exceptional food and service to thousands of guests.

About the Role
n
Working across major event days, functions, corporate hospitality suites, and premium catering outlets, you will be part of a professional kitchen team responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality food service in a high-volume environment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Food preparation and production for large-scale events
n
Assisting chefs with daily kitchen operations
n
Carvery preparation and service experience essential
n
Meat slicing, portion control, and presentation
n
Vegetable preparation, salads, and cold larder duties
n
Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
n
Stock rotation and kitchen cleaning duties
n
Supporting event-day service across multiple catering outlets
n
Assisting with buffet, hospitality, and corporate function catering
n
Knife hand duties including food preparation and kitchen support
n
Working efficiently to meet strict service deadlines
n




Essential Requirements
n
Demonstrated experience working in commercial kitchens
n
Carvery experience is essential
n
Strong knife skills and food preparation experience
n
Ability to work in a rapid-paced, high-volume catering environment
n
Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
n
Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
n
Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
n
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
n
Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties
n
Desirable
n
Experience in stadium, arena, event, convention centre, or large venue catering
n
Catering, hospitality, or commercial cookery qualifications
n
Current Food Safety Certificate
n
Previous experience servicing large crowds and major events
n
