About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a rapidly growing, multi-site consumer goods business.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of financial control and reporting across the corporate portfolio while managing two accountants.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail while also working closely with senior finance and operational stakeholders.
A key focus will be building the financial foundations required to support continued growth, including improving month-end, establishing robust balance sheet reconciliations, strengthening financial controls and developing scalable reporting processes.
Responsibilities
Own month-end close and financial reporting across the corporate portfolio
Build and maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations
Review store P&Ls;, revenue, labour, COGS and EBITDA performance
Prepare monthly Board and management reporting
Deliver budget vs actual analysis and performance insights
Oversee supplier payments, payroll accounting and cash controls
Manage BAS, payroll tax and statutory compliance
Lead external audit preparation and manage audit queries
Manage and develop 2 offshore Assistant Accountants




Strengthen financial controls and reporting processes
Drive automation and continuous process improvement
Build scalable finance processes to support continued growth
Skills and Experience
CA / CPA qualified
Solid financial accounting and month-end experience
Proven balance sheet, controls and reconciliation capability
Experience preparing management and Board reporting
Previous team leadership experience
Strong Excel and financial systems skills
Hands-on, proactive and comfortable building processes
Solid communicator with the ability to partner across operations
Hospitality, retail, FMCG or multi-site experience highly regarded
Xero experience advantageous
