An exciting opportunity to join the team at Kingsway Indoor Stadium as a Sports Umpire.
At a time of continued growth in community sport, this role plays an important part in delivering well-run competitions by officiating matches, applying the rules of the game, and fostering a safe, fair and enjoyable environment for all participants.
About the RoleThe City of Wanneroo is seeking applicants for Sports Umpire positions at Kingsway Indoor Stadium.
We aim to deliver Social Sport Competitions that offer a fun and safe setting for people to play sports, and we're looking for experienced umpires to help us make that happen!
This is a great opportunity to get involved in the sports & recreation industry!
The stadium run's a variety of sports in both adult & junior competitions including futsal, netball, basketball & volleyball!
We are seeking umpires to officiate our competitions on the below days
Tuesday – Ladies & Walking Netball (6pm – 10pm)
Wednesday – Ladies & Mixed Netball (6pm – 10pm)
Thursday – Mixed Volleyball & Ladies Futsal (6pm – 10pm)
Friday – Junior Basketball & Junior Soccer (4pm – 8pm)
About YouAs a collaborative member of the Kingsway team, the position is responsible for officiating the social competitions held Monday-Friday afternoons & evenings at the stadium.
It is expected that interested individuals possess the following skills & experience:
Knowledge of rules for the relevant sport
Experience in umpiring adult or junior sports
Excellent communication skills
An enthusiastic attitude
Confident conflict resolution processes in high-pressure situations
Formal umpire/referee qualification (if no formal qualification, then experience in an umpiring role is required)
