Eversafe Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S;) professional to join our growing fire protection business.
n
This is a hands‐on role for someone who understands that safety in the fire industry goes beyond paperwork. You will work closely with our technicians, managers and office team to ensure our WH&S; systems, procedures and practices are maintained to a high standard across our operations.
n
About the Role
n
You will be responsible for overseeing and continually improving WH&S; across our fire protection operations, including:
n
n
Maintaining and improving WH&S; policies, procedures and systems
n
Supporting technicians with SWMS, JSA's, risk assessments and safety documentation
n
Monitoring compliance with WH&S; legislation, regulations and industry requirements
n
Investigating incidents, near misses and hazards and implementing corrective actions
n
Conducting toolbox talks and safety training
n
Maintaining WH&S; registers, records and reporting
n
Supporting workers with safety queries and practical guidance
n
Working with management to identify and reduce workplace risks
n
Ensuring subcontractors and workers meet required safety standards
n
Staying up to date with changes to WH&S; legislation and fire industry requirements
n

What We're Looking For
n
Fire industry experience is essential.
n
We are looking for someone who has a genuine understanding of the working environment faced by fire technicians and contractors, including site‐based work, construction environments, access equipment, electrical hazards, hot works, confined spaces and working at heights.
n
You will also have:
n
n
Proven WH&S; experience in the fire protection, fire services or construction industry
n
Robust knowledge of Australian WH&S; legislation
n
Experience developing and implementing safety systems
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
A practical, hands‐on approach to workplace safety
n
Strong organisational and documentation skills
n
The confidence to work directly with technicians and management
n
The ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions
n
Relevant WH&S; qualifications are a pre requisite
n
