Early Childhood Educator Preschool and OOSH

Flying Start Kingscliff is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Educator Preschool and OOSH to join our team. This is a full-time position. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality early childhood education and care across both our preschool and out-of-school hours care (OOSH) programmes. You will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn, develop and thrive. This position is integral to our mission of supporting children's growth and wellbeing during their formative years.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate learning experiences and activities that foster children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development
n
Provide direct supervision and care to children across preschool and OOSH settings, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and engagement at all times
n
Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues, maintaining open communication with parents about their child's learning and development
n
Create and maintain a safe, clean, organised and welcoming learning environment that supports children's play and exploration
n
Observe and document children's learning and development using appropriate assessment tools and practices
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (such as Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services, or equivalent)
n
Current Working With Children Check (WWC) clearance or willingness to obtain one
n




Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate to working with children
n
Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and evidence-based educational practices
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team
n
Genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
n
Ability to remain calm, patient and responsive in a busy, dynamic workplace
n
Fun and energetic personality
n
Flexibility to work across both preschool and OOSH settings as required
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills
n
