About the Employer

The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.

The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

While this role forms part of the Eva Copper Alliance, employment will be ongoing with Thiess, with recruitment and employment managed by Thiess.

The prospect

Are you a natural leader with a passion for Mining and commitment to safety? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Production Leading Hand to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project, in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.
n
As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you'll be responsible Support the Production Supervisor and support safe, efficient production operations.
n
About the Candidate
n
n
Experience as a Step-Up Supervisor or Leading Hand in open-cut hard rock mining is highly valued.
n
Solid understanding of open-cut mining operations.
n
Strong organisational, communication, and presentation skills with a friendly and motivational approach.
n
Proven leadership and people management experience.
n
Relevant qualifications in the mining industry.
n
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
n
Verified machinery skills list (training transcripts) LMS documents, signed by SSE or Delegate.
n
Current S123 and G2 certifications
n
Current Drivers Licence
n
n
