We are seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Store Manager to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. This pivotal role involves leading retail sales, overseeing key operational functions, and supporting the Store Manager in driving store performance.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Supporting day-to-day store and showroom operations
n
Assist the Store Manager with daily operations, staff rostering, and performance management.
n
Mentor and support team members to achieve individual and store targets
n
Action staff hiring, promotions and disciplinary procedures (where required)
n
Ensure thorough induction and training for all new staff members
n
Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service and maintaining a fully stocked store
n
Manage the receipt and distribution of shipments
n
Maintain showroom and warehouse ensuring it is kept clean & safe at all times
n
Reporting and sales management
n
Supporting warehouse and delivery operations where required
n
Ensuring compliance with WH&S; policies and safe work practices
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Proven working experience in retail supervisory or assistant management role, preferably within the home improvement, hardware, or design sectors
n




Understanding of advanced sales principles, customer service practices and team leadership
n
Good level of computer literacy and MS applications
n
Driven to meet sales targets with a proven record of exceeding
n
Ability to build effective working relationships
n
Solid communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
n
Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
n

Physical Requirements of the Role
n
This role includes both showroom and operational responsibilities and involves regular standing, walking and manual handling tasks, including safely lifting and moving products up to *****kg. Reasonable adjustments will be considered in accordance with applicable workplace and anti-discrimination legislation.
