Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator | Brisbane West Region

At School Plus, our Brisbane West educators have a dedicated home base service at either Darra, Serviceton, Corinda, Amberley or Graceville - a core team where you'll build real relationships with children, families and colleagues — plus the opportunity to support other services across the region when needed. About the role
n
You'll work with school-aged children (5–12 years) in Before and After School Care, and occasionally Vacation Care, within a dedicated home base service in Brisbane West (Darra, Serviceton, Corinda, Amberley or Graceville) -giving you the chance to build genuine, lasting relationships with children, families and your team, with the flexibility to support other services across the region when needed.

Day to day, you'll:
n
n
Uphold child safety and wellbeing as your first priority in every interaction, in line with our Child Safe Standards and National Quality Framework (NQF) obligations
n
Maintain safe supervision and correct educator-to-child ratios at all times
n
Build trusted relationships with children, supporting their confidence, independence and sense of belonging
n
Collaborate with your team on programming and planning engaging, age-appropriate activities
n
Communicate professionally with families, maintaining confidentiality and a duty of care
n
Complete mandatory child protection and safeguarding training,



and report any concerns promptly through correct procedures
n

About you
n
n
Completed or currently studying towards a Certificate III or Diploma in School Age Education and Care, Early Childhood Education and Care, or a related qualification (preferred)
n
A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
n
Experience working with school-aged children (5–12 years) in an OSHC, education, childcare, camp, sports coaching or similar setting (desirable)
n
Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis/Asthma training
n
A genuine, demonstrated commitment to child safety and wellbeing
n
A valid driver's licence and reliable transport (highly desirable)
n
