Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm
n Location: North Gosford, NSW
n Hourly Rate: $30+ per hour (depending on experience)

Coastal Orthopaedics North Gosford is a well-established and fast-paced specialist practice seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and patient-focused Medical Secretary to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. There may be the possibility of extending the position beyond the initial contract period.

This is a full-time role, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys helping patients navigate their care.

About the Role
n
As the first point of contact for our practice, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our busy specialist clinic.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
Managing a high volume of incoming calls
n
Booking appointments and coordinating patient schedules
n
Triaging referrals and ensuring timely follow-up
n
Handling patient enquiries with professionalism, clarity, and empathy
n




Explaining surgery quotes and assisting with related questions
n
Maintaining accurate patient records and completing administrative tasks
n
Daily use of Blue Chip and Medical Director software
n
About You
n
We are looking for someone who is:
n
Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to five days per week
n
Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a quick-paced environment
n
Professional with an excellent telephone manner
n
Confident multitasking and managing competing priorities
n
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
n
Experienced in medical administration (preferred but not essential)
n
Familiar with Blue Chip and Medical Director software (highly regarded)
n
